Smolensk City. History

After I was in Krasnoyarsk and felt the frost of -40, Moscow greeted the icy rain. The desire to ride through me, and now Christmas week in front of Switzerland, I decided to be held in Smolensk. The historic home of my young man, very nice cozy little town.

Located 400 km from Moscow to Belarus. 
Suppose that there are not many snowboarders and skiers, but they teamed up and created for himself a very steep area for skiing.

Their needs and level grew in the absence of snow cannons for the construction of ski jumps just no longer enough snow on the hill. To drive a tractor and set the terrain of the land was not possible due to lack of slope, then the guys decided to set the shape of a ski jump and make a touchdown from the boards. 

The first bigair Vanya drew on paper, counted approximately the desired angle of landing and the fall of 2003 with the help of friends, they began to build the first wooden Big Air.
Experiments in practice have shown loyalty to the calculations and allowed much progress guys who by that time, along with Vanya Oleinikov was three.
But by that time the number of riders in Smolensk grown so much that in 2008 all wood snowpark already together completely rebuilt and improved. 

The first time I was in Smolensk in the spring to close the season, and then he wanted to come here in winter.
My dream has come true. We were very lucky with the weather, snow did not stop for several days, and I received excellent training ground. Ride all day and evening shooting straight, but that's another story.
